Mixing a Band From Start to Finish with Fab Dupont
In a past post, we saw producer Fab Dupont and first engineer Meredith McCandless of FLUX Studios take an auditorium packed with 300 engineers through a complete tracking session from start to finish. The live seminar covered mic and preamp choices (including Universal Audio’s 4-710 Tone-Blending and 2-610 Dual Channel preamps, and LA-610 MKII Recording Channel), placement and recording techniques, and showed them how to combine it all into a rough mix.
