Defective
I recently just purchased a brand new Apollo mk2 twin. It worked the first couple of days and now none of the buttons work except the volume knob. I can use the console only from my Mac mini and tech support won’t even respond

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED
Weeks to get a response on issues, rude responses through email, no one answers the phone or lifts a finger after people have spent $$$$. Interfaces and plugins are quality but the Pedals are already having issues after 2 years of owning them in my private studio at home in a/c. Switching products registered in my au account without authorization. I have extended rude responses from "GORDON". Still having issues with my unison slots and no one is coherently trying to address the issue at all. I am extremely disgusted with the piss poor customer service at UA

Defective ex display unit
First ever UA purchase. Bought as ex display model (purported "great condition") from Ebay, it played all my computer audio in slow motion.
Contacted UA tech support, they were quick to respond and helpful, spent 2 weeks going back and forth with attempted fixes involving 3 different computers Probably 15-20 hours total time spent troubleshooting - all to no avail.
UA finally conceded it was a defective unit and suggested I just return it for a refund.
That's it.
Obviously I expected more from both the UA hardware/software (i.e. for it to work at all), but beyond that, given the time I spent, hassle, and degree of frustration & disappointment with what was my first ever UA purchase, I expected them to care more.
It just seemed like 'buyer beware, tough luck...buy our stuff in future", which for a market leader in audio hardware/software is pretty underwhelming.

Purchased this almost a year ago & now it doesn't power on. Be careful buying UA interfaces. They only last until or before the warranty. Tried another power supply before calling & emailing UA. They weren't any help either. Have to send it to a 3rd party to get it fixed. You would think the manufacturer would help, but not at all.

This is ridiculous
We all have spent a lot of hard earned money on UAD interfaces and software and it’s totally ridiculous that we can’t get anyone in the phone when we call for support and honestly how long are we supposed to wait for an update for Big Sur?!

SORRY, BUT THIS IS A TOTAL NO GO
I feel really bad that it is the way it is... I bought the Apollo Twin USB and let a company build a PC (win 10), i9, 64ram, ssd etc. to fit the interface because I heard of some great results. Though, it turned out that these UAD Interfaces may sound good, but they fail at something very very basic, they fail in connecting to any kind of chipset, not only the ones mentioned on the UAD blogs and sites. I am deeply disappointed and I really don't reccomand any of these things... In the meanwhile I crawled the web and found an enormous ammount of BAD reviews, very very little GOOD ones. So, I'm not the only one struggling with something that actually shouldn't be a problem. Why would you want to put an interface on the maket that has MAJOR ISSUES in compatibility wit either iOS or Windows?! Damn guys, get that thing done, even beringer manages to do that!!! Plus, the only computers UAD claims to deliver excellent results are redicolous, they wouldn't make it a minute with a DAW and a midi synth running... I mean, seriously, a 2.8 ghz i5 MINI desktop pc should deliver EXCELLENT results... ??? C' mon...

Apollo Twin MKII, nothing for hardware User
first of all, u can't bypass ur hardware that's a - Point,
next - point Uad want us all to use a Mac, i dont wanna use a mac im good with my windows system.
i bought only for to use this interface an 300euro mainboard with tb2, and then i realized i cant bypass my hardware! i got a la 610 MK2,and a avalon 737sp as hardware thats really sad for me..next- point is i already own the unison plugin UA-610-B, i wanted to buy the A version, but it doesnt letting me, we can only buy as bundle, why should i buy the bundle if i already own 1 plugins of this bundle? why i cant buy only the solo plugin UA610-A??
the last - point is, if i use my studio mic on discord, skype or Teamspeak on windows, every of my frieds hearing, loud crackling sound when i speak! on daw i cant hear any crackling sound everthing is fine on daw, but discord, skype etc. this crackling sound is very useless for me, well im guess im done with uad. if u guy`s are mac user and no hardware user then buy this its sounds very amazing but like i said i am a hardware user i just wanted an nice Ad to Da converter to use my hardware togehter with uad plugins on WINDOWS 10 64 Bit. Uad is a nice Product but i am really a lil mad to uad :( i told u all why. with Best Regards VSA

I am taken aback by the obnoxiousness of the support agent I spoke with. No matter what the quality of a product, without a certain level decency and manners, what’s the point? We are musicians trying to use this equipment to make music. Where do these people come from and why are they working in the capacity of public relations?

Defective Relays, Outside of Warranty
I bought this unit nearly two years ago, and the hardware recently began randomly clicking very loudly (the same clicking when you power the unit up).
I reached out to tech support, and spent a month going back and forth with uninstalling softwares, hardware resets, changing my Thinderbolt cable, force-updating firmware, buying power conditioners... etc.
Well after a month, $220 of items hoping to solve the issue, and 10+ hours of recording and compile files of the clicking sound to provide the tech department... I’m feed up.
I was told that I could send the product in, but would need to pay for shipping (there and back) and pay for all repairs.
Luckily, I purchase the Apollo from American Musical Supply, and they were awesome! They agreed to replace the item... FREE OF CHARGE!!!
How is it that a supply company is happy to help when it’s obvious that there is a hardware defect, but the company that manufactured it is so difficult??
I have no doubt my situation is rare. But, the lack in customer service and rediculously short warranty period for a highly-used piece of gear is crazy!!
Anyone trying to avoid and issue like this should consider alternate options, all at the same price point:
1) Apogee Element 46 (4x way better mic pres, with less self-noise)
2) Audient iD44 (4x way better mic pres + 2 DI inputs, and lower self-noise)
3) Focusrite Clarett 8pre (8x better mic pres, and super clean sound)

Not ready for windows
Had this unit for 2 months. Great build, great features, let down by unusable ASIO/WDM drivers. Completely unstable below 88.2kHz regardless of cables or adapters, windows tweaks etc rendering it useless to me. The unit also gets in worringly hot with a few hours light use. My first and last UAD product.

Produit apparemment de bonne facture. Néanmoins, il produit des parasites sonores insupportables connecté avec des yamaha HS50. Le DSP demande grâce dès qu'on utilise plusieurs Plugs In. Les plugs in sont hors de prix. Dommage.
Apparently a good product. Nevertheless, it produces unbearable noise when connected with yamaha HS50. The DSP asks for pity as soon as we use several Plugs In. The plugs in are overpriced.

Headache since steeping up to this so call professional product.
I was proud to be the owner of the Apollo twin quad until a few days after I started having connection issues and the support from the customer support is so bad after spend 30 mins waiting to speak with someone, the call lasted a minute.I am feeling so low having spent my hard earn cash on a supposedly high end product that looks great on the desk top thats it looks great. I am so disappointed.
