Teletronix LA-2A Classic Leveler Collection
Quite simply, the ultimate collection of the most revered optical compressor ever. With its gentle, program dependent optical compression, and meticulously designed tube amplifier, the LA-2A is the go-to compressor for professional mixers around the world. In 2001, Universal Audio set the standard in analog emulation with the original UAD LA-2A plug-in. Today, UA’s engineers have redesigned the LA-2A plug-in with even more obsessive detail, giving you immaculate, component-by-component models of three highly sought-after LA-2A units.
Pultec Passive EQ Collection
Building on a decade of the world’s most intensive modeling research, UA recreated the famed Pultec EQ experience as a plug-in — one that’s nearly indistinguishable from the original analog hardware. Going far beyond UA’s original standard-setting Pultec plug-ins, the Pultec Passive EQ Collection faithfully models the overbuilt transformers and complex tube amplifiers of three legendary Pultec EQs, the EQP-1A, MEQ-5, and HLF-3C. The Pultec Passive EQ Collection is an astonishingly accurate recreation of these “must-have” EQs.
1176 Classic Limiter Collection
The first true peak limiter to feature all-transistor circuitry and ultra-fast FET gain reduction, the 1176 has lent its character and punch to some of the greatest recordings in history. Universal Audio released its first 1176 plug-in emulation in 2001, single-handedly launching the UAD platform. Today, we’ve circled back to the 1176, and modeled its entire electronic path from stem to stern — including its transformers and FET and transistor amplifiers, resulting in unrivaled emulations of three distinct 1176 units: Rev A, Rev E, and AE.
Fairchild Tube Limiter Collection
For a half-century, the Fairchild 670 — and its aggressive little brother, the Fairchild 660 — have defined popular music’s most revered vocal and drum sounds. In fact, the world’s elite mixers often employ a 670 simply for the “glow” it brings to their final mixes, even without compression happening. The UAD L2A2 blew doors open for me that I didn't even know were there. This is my "desert island" compressor. If I had to make the unfortunate call; would literally forego all other compressors in lieu of this one. While it is considered ideal for certain applications; I've never found a situation where the L2s couldn't improve the sound quality in some way.

Just Might Be My Absolute Favorite Compressor Ever
This baby just has sound to it. I can't help but pass almost all of my tracks through this tube, it just adds such a liveliness and warmth with punch and tightness. Beautiful what it does to a vocal.
