UAD-2 Satellite USB

Perfect Compliment to the Twin USB!

Added a Satellite Octo USB to my existing working Apollo Twin USB/UAD-2 PCIe Quad/Solo DAW rig and could not be happier with the stability and performance. Having already installed the latest Win UAD USB version, I simply connected the Satellite to the adjoining USB 3.0 port that my Apollo is connected to and powered it up and the Satellite appeared in the UAD Control Panel ready to be used.
Now I have a mixed UAD system (Apollo Twin Duo, Satellite Octo, PCIe Quad & Solo) giving me (15) DSP's for UAD processing! Unlike the Satellite FW, the USB version has no extra 512 sample plug-in latency, no FW buffering to contend with and the LiveTrack mode works with UAD plug-ins using the USB devices. Great product!

Amazing UAD

It is very cool design.
UAD Pluguins add a silky air deep to the your mix.
What they did was right.

Easy Setting and really Stabled

Satellite USB is no error and really easy settings.

good perfomance

but it is not availabe with MAC.

Too Much Money for Just Processing Power

I think this unit is priced to high. For the same amount of money, I can get a great sounding A/D & D/A converter and Audio interface in one unit. It might not have the same processing power but it will have some.

As a windows user, I must say I am overjoyed that UA has made this USB 3 version of their Satellite. I already have an Apollo Twin USB, so the two of them work together perfectly. I have not had a single problem with any om them. I could not be more satisfied.
Now I am just waiting for UA to make a USB version of the Apollo 8, and then there will no longer be any need for an extra A/D converter.
In other words, couldn't be happier!
