A big addition to an already great product
Owning an original RMX16 wit all expanded algorithms, all I can say is, this is quite close, and I really love the convenience of having it around whenever I want. And in as many instances as I need. The newer programs really complement the original ones greatly. Only drawback: I don't understand why I had to pay for this little upgrade. Would have been a nice gesture if UA released this for existing users for free. I would EXCPECT something like this in terms of image and presige advertising. Esp. for a relatively high priced piece of software. Therefore only 4 stars.

Nice extension...
Helpful extension for AMS users. Beside a plus of features which are "basic" in todays Plugin workflows the AMS get's nice additionals for reverb Pros plus a bunch of presets for those who aren't...ß)

The Affect of the Effects
I love experimental elements in a project,it makes things unique. Sometimes errors utilizing effects on different sounds not commonly used on create new trends...That's why I like more expansions which equals to more variances. When you have a palatte with more colors you have more tools for further exploration...and that is a whole different level of bliss for a musical scientists....

Expanded soundscapes
Very cool new aka old algorithms. Lots of depth and Metallic clangs are possible here. The perfect experimental verb.

Best Reverb EVER!!!
You have to simply hear this reverb in the mix to believe how good it is! sure, it sounds incredible in solo mode but in the mix is where it shines and where it should shine!!

Upgrade pricing seems fair to me!
Although I totally understand those feeling stung by the upgrade pricing, I can't fault this one or the policy of a different version. I was against the 88RS upgrade policy as that was just ridiculous. I have always understood someone has to do the work and therefore someone has to be reasonably paid to it. Uaudio isn't a one man band, its reasonably sized company with all that means etc. So as long as those who already own it are supplied with a coupon to help make it a no brainier, and as long as the substance of the upgrade is comparable then I personally see no problem.

Not blow away.
I got this with the $399, 3 Plugin deal. I also got the SSL G Bus and the Ampex which are amazing. So far I've been a little disappointed with this Plugin. When I pull it on both vocals I just can't seem to dial it in to where it sounds good/natural. Maybe it takes time to learn. So far I'm not sold.

Totally radical!
I've not had the good fortune to work with the real hardware so I can't make that comparison. However, what I can say is that this verb sounds truly amazing! It's almost like an instrument in itself -- it invites creativity and imbues everything with something special. I cannot understand how I managed without it.

AMS RMX 16 an old friend returns
I have to admit I have always enjoyed the Ams Rmx 16, I owned one for many years and have used countless others. In fact it was my first really good reverb so it was the first plugin I purchased when I got my Apollo twin.It was like seeing an old friend when the front panel popped up on my screen.It looks exactly as I remembered .The Ams Rmx 16 is simplicity itself .it contains only 9 algorithms and only controls for predelay, reverb time, high and low decay but as with the original its all you need.
The plugin opens up on the first algorithm entitled ambience ,if this unit only had this algorithm I would still buy it and hears why.This program adds general ambience without adding a reverb sound .I started by replacing a reverb I was using in a track I was working one and there it was, the sound I have missed ( I no longer own my original unit)its like a glue for the mix.At times you think can t even hear it then a quick mute of the output and so much disappears.Another great thing about this reverb is that its very usable through out the decay range.Both the room and plate algorithm are very natural sounding.The non linear is a gated sound that gives you instant 80s drum sound but its also useful to thicken up thin instruments when used in moderation.I m also glad that they have included the ams pot which maps a knob to any parameter allowing you to adjust the decay time during a track.I have used this to adjust a reverb time on a volume pedal guitar track while the musician records the track recording also the output of the reverb.
Gladly this plugin does not have the noise or strange intermittent clicks the original had ,it also works all the time ( the original often broke down )Great job UAD now how about a AMS 1580s plugin.
