Un chanel strip complet
Bonjour

very nice eq but !
the EQ is super nice
love the curves and eq freq
the sound is to mild for my taste
but it's a great eq ! love the parallel eq
and it's great that you get Mastering version as well !

So far so good ...
I just got that plugin a couple of weeks ago, I was not to impress at first but it was more of a bad setting/bad Mic/bad placement and sleepy Tech problem. Now with a nice little SM7B on a powerful Rock singer I love the result so far. When you get past the novelty effect and you regain some objectivity it a very nice new tools.
I will start with a 4/5 stars just because it’s still time will tell if it goes up to five Stars …

Fantastic de-esser
One of the best software de-essers I've tried - if not the best. Very fast and natural. You can go too far, of course and it soon lets you know if you've strayed into territory that's lispy, squidgy and dull. It was really the main reason I forked out for this. Quite like the mid dip EQ too but the compressor is rather underwhelming (on voiceover at least).

The channel strip game is getting extremely competitive these days...
Haven't used the hardware, so this is a virgin opinion. In short, the unit sounds nice. You get a definite sense of audio quality when it is flipped on. I hear a definite emphasis on the upper bands in the compressor. Pushed hard, the effect can be fatiguing and becomes an issue that I'd usually be compelled to compensate for. The emphasis can be cool if that's what you're after for a particular application, but if you are looking for something more even in its dynamic response, this isn't would I'd personally go for. In a shootout with bx_console (far and away my preferred channel strip presently), VoxBox could not keep up. But I imagine this makes a hell of a Unison-mode mic pre that cuts through, which is what it was designed for.

crystal clear
This EQ is an amazing crystal clear sounding tool. I love it, I mastered with the original and I can say to have it as a plugin is so great in my workflow, cause there`s only a bit of mojo missing to the analog gear. And also to use it in mixing is an advantage. The only negativ point is the DSP Power, it need`s a bit to much for using it on solo tracks. On the Bus it`s perfect.
love it

MUST HAVE - DSP INTENSIVE THOUGH
As stated in title. You want an EQ, then you need this in your arsenal- tone great.
.
Great EQ!!!
The Massive Passive is an awesome eq for adding subtle or broad strokes to individual instruments or whole mixes. It has a great top end. The only issue at all is it uses a lot of dsp.

Im not a mastering engineer but this eq made my final master sound professional
Very heavy on DSP using my Apollo twin I can only run one more uad plugins in my session. With that being said I use the mastering EQ which by simply dropping it on the track made more symbols and hi-hats very crisp and clean

Love this EQ
Gives that special sheen on my master bus. Just wish the controls were a little bigger to see! Hard looking at it on a 13" laptop
All in all a great EQ

Oh yes.
First thing I did: Threw the MP on a drum sub group that was lacking a little 'life'. Instantly made the track sound much more brighter and 'in your face'. Just what was required for the track. An awesome plug. Didn't give it 5 stars due to the DSP instance hit. But other than that, another fantastic EQ emulation from UA!

Great for mastering
I have never used the hardware unit, but UAD Massive Passive sounds just great. I am using it mostly for mastering, because unfortunately it takes a lot of DSP power (this is why I gave 4 stars only), but quality has a cost. Finally I can easily boost lows without getting muddy, and boost highs without getting harsh sounds. Great plugin overall.

really great hardware reference
the MP is probably my favorite hardware unit ever, and i'm fortunate to have periodic access to one (periodic being the operative word). does this plug replace it? no, but it's close. if you take it just as an eq plug without direct comparison to the hardware it's wonderful, if a bit cpu hungry, but given that UA did a great job modeling the way the units curves behave and interact i use it to set up busses in my mixes intending to later be bounced through the hardware without having to go back, tweak, and re-render so many times when things build in a band. still, even when i never get around to that (it happens) the emulation still sounds fab in a final mix

Wonderful EQ Sound
The Sound of the Manley EQ is wonderful but unfortunately it takes about 70% of my UAD Solo card and therefore need a long time to render.

M&M ;-) Manley and Mastering
Eq Manley EQ is the best I have used for mastering. its first quality is its musicality. never aggressive, always gentle and effective it allows re balancing of the spectrum of a song to another. In collaboration with a compressor and limiter can solve a lot of problems and arrive at a homogeneous and credible finish.
mastering in home studio is very delicate and the use of Manley allows us to approach this step without fear pouvu that we pass the time required.
Enjoy with Manley EQ

Manley Massive Passive Plug-In WOW
Manley Massive Passive Plug-In Is another must have. After using the hardware for a few years, I can actually say there is a true place in the digital domain for this plugin. With a very realistic sound and tone. In every mix, I almost forget it's a plugin. You have to sample it to believe it. Two thumbs up. UAD does it again. CJWartley.com
