This preamp is all that was advertised and then some. I took it for a short test ride. Can't wait to record some projects after quarantine period. Thanks UAD. Been wanting an Avalon Preamp since I first heard one at a studio I worked for. Incredible .

So I purchased the plug in and run a sample chop & drum / snare through it.. let me tell ya. Unreal!!
I have my work cut out for me because I’m going back and touch up all my mixes with this plug-in. I am going to buy the hardware one but the Avalon plugin is the way to go. Thanks UAD

Avalon VT-737 Disabled

Love the hardware version of the VT-737. I updated my software to receive the Avalon VT-737 plugin along with a few other plugins for free. Sadly none of them work for me, opens with "disabled" or "start demo". Hopefully someone can point me in the right direction to get going! Thanks !

IMMEDIATE RELIEF!

To be honest, I was anti-uad plugins for the fact I had invested so much in Waves. I was just hard headed until I seen someone else make it look so easy. The recording process was quick and very clean. I was so used to mixing post vs pre production. I have realized that the less plugins you use in post, the better use of mixing time spent elsewhere. SO....... I had to first update my driver and the moment I put it on. I went to the avalon presets and chose "Vocal w/ De Ess" and the harmonics instantly jumped out and smacked me in the face. Huge difference in vocal color and added rich texture. I am very happy with my purchase. Highly recommended from this guy!!!

No expectation but plug salvation

Yes, I just admit : I did not really know the Avalon and was not planning to spend money and time to find out but after a while and a nice offer I did. I was impressed with ... the EASE of dialling in a good sound with lots of air and comparatively transparent compression on almost anything, but especially voice and drums. It is easy to underestimate the 4 knob eq but the little buttons make it very very flexible. Indeed : I have since used it daily and am glad I can use several instances. From the Unison plugins this for me is the easiest to use with the best results. Cool stuff UA.

I got this with my Thunderbolt 3. I have the hardware and this is really close to it. Good thing is i can have Avalon sound on the move.

Great for bass

I know this is mainly used as a vocal front end but, on a whim, I tried the demo of the Avalon as a high-end DI emulation for bass guitar and was seriously impressed. I’ve now bought the plugin and use it for all of my bass needs as well as for vocals, horns etc. It’s pretty much displaced the Eden and Ampeg bass amp plugins whenever I want a clean modern sound with presence and a solid low end. Great piece of kit.

I've been using the hardware for years, and I'm impressed by the emulation.
Amazing job, UAD ! When you have a good and expensive mic, you want to make to route to a trusted mic amp. the VT737 a highly recommended and trusted amp you can use with complete peace of mind.
