Filling a massive market niche well
There simply aren't enough spring reverbs around, and this really fills a gap. Has a much cleaner sound than some of the hardware BX20s I've used in the past, so a go-to.

great color
the reason i got this one is the color of the 'verb. Great for e-guitar or vocal to create a certain color used in old school recording. Nothing else is like it.

AKG Sping Reverb
This is a great, lush verb that is perfect for guitars, keys, etc. Very versatile. Another winner from UA.

A spring you can bounce on
Although it may not work in all applications, the BX 20 is a great choice for big, ambient reverb. The quality is very conducive to textural music where space and dimension are integral factors. I must admit, I did play about an hour of surf guitar through it upon bringing it up for the first time. A little heavy on the DSP usage, but it's character and features more than make up for it. There is a particular warmth with this plugin that doesn't seem to be present in the spring reverb offerings of popular competitors. Definitely a good buy!

Dark Dense Sound
This reverb is dark and dense and has a relatively smooth character compared to other spring reverbs. Not an essential everyday reverb like the Lexicon 224 or EMTs but has a character those don't. Control is limited but what this does it does very well. Sounds very good on analogue synths, looking forward to using it on other sources when a darker character reverb is needed.
This reverb provides an option that other verbs don't, certainly a great addition to the reverb palette.

being the owner of some spring reverb and some vintagetape and tube echo, including a wonderful great british spring reverb, I can say that the emulation is great and the plugin is proving very useful in my mix them where I need a dark reberber different than a plate

I liked the character but....
I thought this one was a good concept and I have been pushing for UAD to get a good Spring plugin. With that being said this one has the character, especially for darker songs, but I was expecting more control over the plugin. According to my friends this is basically a perfect emulation of the original, but I don't know. It would have it's usefulness, but not an every dayer, like the EMT 140, 250 or the Lexicon 224. It's cool in it's own way though.

Oooof! Great Stuff Here.
Pretty amazing Reverb. Just got it in time for a Bluesy/pop project. Rocked my socks on a Solo using a Fender Strat. Also like running it through aux in UAD Console to help in tracking vocals. I gave it 4 stars because of a this slightly annoying ring in the upper-mids but I feel this is characteristic to the original. In the mix the ring makes it cut through a little bit more but on solo or minimal style tracks might want to multiband that sucker as it is prominent. Great look, feel, and just the right amount of controls without crazy graphs, lines, and small buttons. Use your ears... and turn knobs. Cheers.

Making The Decay Shorter
D. McBride,
If you want shorter decay times, you can an SPL Transient Modulator after the BX 20.
The sounds is quite beautiful and will be very inspiring for artists while tracking, especially Vx.
Will update after spending time with this.

AKG BX20 spring
It sounds beautiful and I don't regret the purchase Buuuuuut..... it would more often usable if the decay time could be made quicker. I had that issue with our EMT plate, I know its par for the course, but still....

Amazing for Big Verbs - Massive DSP Usage
This is the ultimate indie verb! Great on drums and vocals. Lush, full, thick and beautiful decay.
It's a MASSIVE hog on resources (maybe a 3rd of a quad??) though and the delay compensation required makes it impossible to track without outside of an apollo/console. That's why it doesn't get a 4. Maybe on thunderbolt or pcie it's better.
But still, for big verbs, ballads, indie drums, retro stuff, I haven't heard a better verb...!!
