The best of the digital world
I've used a fair few interfaces now but nothing comes close to how the Apollo performs. Not to mention the world of plug-ins it gives you access to. There's a tonne of flexibility and routing options for your own use and it all sounds amazing to top it all off. Brilliant preamps and brilliant workflow. What more could you ask for from an interface.

Clean sounding gear
The Apollo sounds great with no hiccups! I couldn't us anything else after this!

Nice Interface
I've been using my Apollo Quad for a few weeks now and i really like it. Pre's sound really good and the plugins are excellent. the only major downside (and reason for 4 stars verses 5) is the firewire ports are disabled when using the Thunderbolt 2 card. not sure why they dont provide the drivers for the FW ports in this driver set but hopefully they will fix that soon.

Love my Apollo
This is my 2nd Apollo. I upgraded to a Quad from a Duo as my plugin use kept expanding while the UAD plugins also continue to get more DSP hungry. The Apollo is a great interface on its own, without the plugins. The added UAD platform makes this product a no-brainer.

Amazing Interface
Universal Audio has made a solid centerpiece for today's modern studio. Visually, it is quite appealing and is constructed superbly. I appreciate the time taken to address things such as the illuminated UA Logo as well as the preamp and monitor knobs. The lighting chosen for these are subtle and not overbearing.
The converters are great and I noticed an immediate difference just in the playback of previous sessions. I love the Unison technology but I have been quite impressed with the UA preamps and how clean they sound with no modeling used. The console software is easy to manipulate and fun to work with. Throw in the power of a quad card and I don't think there is anything on the market that can top this product.

We ALL NEED two of these!
I had to get another one, for each of these single reasons - 8 in Unison, Neve 1073, 610 tube, Analog Classics Pro, Tape bundle, API

Great hardware
I haven't put it to the test on extreme situations, but so far it works perfectly!

Finally got me some UAD gear!
God, I've been lusting after the UAD systems since the first PCIe card. Never been able to afford it until more recently, I finally experienced everything that I've been missing out on. The plug ins are absolute quality and are worth every penny. The included analog classics bundle is a perfect start to kick off your productions. The tone, saturation, characteristics of each plug in are really something else. I've never had results with compressors like the Fairchild. Other emulations come close, but a difference can definitely be heard. The Apollo is rock solid and easy to setup. The only thing that I want more is to have some more routing options. The routing capabilities, even with the new flex routing update is still limiting. Other than that, everything h

Game changer.
Not trying to gush here, but I'll admit I'm pretty blown away by my new Apollo Duo. I bought it for studio use, but quickly began to realize what the interface could do for live applications, and now I am saving my money to buy a second unit for my live rig. With the Console application, the high quality UAD plugins, and the Unison preamp technology, it's eliminated my need for the big rack and mixer I've been lugging around for years. I plan to condense my whole rack into a simple 2U case holding nothing but the Apollo and a power conditioner with a laptop on top. It simplifies everything, and gives me so many useful I/O options. It's really changed everything and opened my mind to a world of new possibilities. LOVE!

Excellent upgrade to my system
I had been wanting an Apollo ever since the NAMM Show two years ago. I had a Digi 002 console. My primary DAW is Pro Tools, but I use Logic Pro X, Reason 7 and a few other audio applications too. I use Final Cut Pro X for video editing. The Digi 002 was getting to be more and more of a hinderance to my workflow, so I decided to make the change. I wish I had done it sooner. The superior audio quality of the Apollo is apparent even when listening to compressed format audio, but moreso when listening to uncompressed audio, particularly at higher sampling rates. The Console application is a blessing as it enables me to provide latency-free monitoring while tracking. The UAD-2 plug-ins are second to none.

The best and getting better
This is my second Apollo unit. I moved to a quad from a dual so I could get more DSP horsepower while tracking. I have to say that the UA Apollos have really had an impact on my creative process. Not only is it much easier to get set up to record in a studio-like session, but the drivers (for Mac at least) seem rock solid and I've had zero technical issues. Furthermore, the guys at UA always seem to be improving things. A tweak here. A tweak there. Of course, I wish that some of the new plugins didn't suck up so many resources (DSP-wise), and I would like an easier way to audition plugin presets from within the console app, but overall I have very few complaints....and the plugins are second to none.

Apollo is incredible
I upgraded from satellite duo to an apollo quad. I also purchased anew imac
The transition was easy. I'm so impressed with customer support and the easabilty of getting the rig up and running as well as being totally amazed at the sound. Being able to play through the plugins is a creative edge
The apollo as well as its plugins are the centerpiece of my sound

happy with my new apollo quad
Hello, very happy with my new apollo quad, with the sound and the console.
There s a whole new workflow made possible with this device.
crucially missing though :
1- Routing option to defferent speakers in the monitoring section (using the line outs)
we all work with 2 or 3 pairs of monitors dont we ?
2-The possibility to save/recall a preset channel setting in the console.
All The Best. LP

ok - you won me over
I just got an Apollo Quad , with the promo plugins & I'm now up to 18 plugins .
For years my opinion had been " Why buy the UAD systems where you have to pay $999- $1,499 for the UAD cards Plus the Plugins . Why not just buy a more powerfull
computer with the money & use plugins from the vast number of other plugin companies that will run native on your computer."
Well that was before i chose the Apollo and really discovered how great the UAD powered plugins sound. I would be considered an old guy in the business . Started working at Cherokee Studios in 1975. I think i know what a tape machine sounds like and you nailed it. I would haul Fairchilds out of the closet - You nailed that sound also, along with the EMT140.
thanks,
tutk
