Great little box.
Great to have 5 or 6 busses of different effects inc. reverbs without putting any stress on the computer CPU. Fantastic.

Excellent capacity for plug ins and sound
with only a bit of experience I can say the Satellite opens up alot of sounds - the plug ins are excellent and even w the Manley Vox box, Massive passive, Neve 1081, Avalon pre and a reverb up in a mix, it seems It still has the ability to run alot more, thats what I was hoping, a nice capacity to run plug ins. And the Manley, Neve and Avalon sound excellent, useful.

I am happy to bring the UAD products into my production and mixing suite. The emulations are amazing. I got rid of a lot of my outboard gear because with UAD I don’t need it anymore. The Octo allows me to load up protools with UAD plugs and work seamlessly. @producerbenford

THE freedom in create
An octo should be an essential for any serious UAD users, because if you count: 1.5+ core on vocal (I do singer/songwriter), 1 core on drums, 2 cores on important instruments, 1 core on effects, 1 core on reverbs, 1.5 core on stereo buss... man I still need to freeze and bounce from time to time, but UAD plugs are so delicious and addictive :) By the way, I love the "space grey" design of this TB3 satellite, looking so beautiful on my dull black desk - and don't you know, the front "UA" logo is a white LED :)

Essential!
This frees up native resources and means tracking and mixing when using UAD plugins is so much better. Less CPU overload means you can relax knowing you are not maxing out your system.
I wish I'd bought it ages ago.

Increased throughput
The Uad Satelite 2 Octo core thunderbolt 3 enjoys increased throughput put and now connects with thunderbolt 3 laptops seamlessly. I do wish they would have added two thunderbolt 2 ports as well for connecting with the thunderbolt 2 version of the octo, but this can easily be achieved with adapters. The product does what it says it will add processing power to your Windows or Mac Computer for the plugins.

Outstanding performance and quality!!!
Ever since I got my Apollo twin I fell in love with the fact that I didn’t have to tax my computer’s CPU however as mixes were more complex I’d run out of DSP so I researched about the Satellite DSP accelerator and got the OCTO which was in special and maN, it literally feels like I upgraded from a 2 cylinder turbo to a 10 cylinder muscle beast!!! Absolutely recommend it to anyone that wants to take their music to another level.
