Je ne met jamais 5 etoiles à un produit ua, simplement pour le coté financièrement captif de la politique maison. Bref, ici, je ferais abstraction. Qui ne rève pas d'avoir enregistrer sur cette machine ? Ben là, on peut le dire. Yes, you can !! depuis que j'ai acquis ce plug, je reprend tout ce que j'ai en fichier audio pour lui appliquer ce plug sur chaque tranche audio. le resultat dans la couleur du son, dans le grain se remarque tout de suite. De même avec l'ampex, je met systématiquement une iération sur le master de tous mes projets. J'ai eu la chance de pouvoir en utiliser un peu un vrai dans ma jeunesse (ça ne me rajeuni pas..), et vraiment, c'est un produit sensationnel. J'ai même commencé à trifouiller quelques réglages sur ce dernier (utiliser le souffle, bidouillé les potards), c du pur fun et, en plus, je trouve qu'on sent vraiment la "Ampex touch" sur le resultat final.
Si je ne devais en conserver que 2 ce serait ces 2 là. Et en plus, je ne les trouve pas excessivement gourmand pour ce qui est apporté. Vraiment un must !!

This is the plugin that made me take the UAD leap.
This is a wonderful plugin. It comes very close to the original. This plugin goes deep in the amount of tones you can get out of it. I like being able to switch between the sync and play heads. This is a mandatory UAD plugin.

This is a deep plugin.
I have a couple of other tape and saturation plugins, but this one goes deeper than many of the others. I use Slate VTM (which I love), but the UAD Studer gives me a different color to work with. I like the way it saturates when pushed on the 456 setting. I have used Studer A800's a lot and this plugin does a nice job of imparting that familiar character.

I owned the Ampex ATR-102 for a while - it was one of the first UA plugins that I purchased - I love using it on a master bus - but I wanted something for individual channels and trialed the Studer - really has this cumulative effect - the more you use it the more it seems to add depth and subtle warmth to a mix - go get it - you'll be using it forever more!!

From the moment I first tried this plugin on my entire mix, I felt like I finally found the missing link to a GREAT sounding mix. The number of different sounds you can get just by choosing different combinations of tape speeds, head widths, tape formulas, calibration levels, biasing, wow/flutter, hum/hiss and input/output record levels is astonishing!
A huge range of tape sounds are covered from lo-fi (3.75 IPS, 1/4" head) All the way to Ultra Hi Fidelity (30 IPS 1" Head)
A really cool add on is the tape delay control, which gives you tape delay effect, with variable time control.
A MUST HAVE plugin. Great Job UA!

Fantastic!
I worked with tape for many years and was happy to abandon it when digital caught up. Tape is a major headache and hope I never have to touch it again. This plugin brings back some of that special "warmth" that those old machines and oxides used to give the sound without ANY of the hassle of a real tape machine. While not necessary for every application (I am a fan of clean digital sound), it is great on some tracks to add that dirt and classic sound. Very flexible and faithful recreation of the "tape" sound. UA has done it again. A bit pricey but if you catch it on sale, totally worth it!

Amazing tape emulation plug-in
I had spent money on a plug-in from the competition, never to use it again. This bundle is absolutely amazing. Studer for tracks and Ampex for mix bus or master. No way to get it wrong.

analog tape fatness!!
This plugin is amazing. I produce hip hop music and this plugin gives my music the grit & fatness of 90's hip hop. Its not to get that sound while mixing in the box but this plugin solves the problem. Its killer on samples, drums, and vocals. It makes drums sound more punchy and adds character on vocals. On the stereo bus it rounds off the top end in a very pleasant way that brings fullness to master. It definitely controls the brittleness thats associated with digital audio. It really smooths everything out. If you guys are familiar with Dr Dre and the Chronic record, this plugin will definitely help to achieve the sonic flavor of that album. This plugin deserves 10 stars!!! Great job UAD

I use this along with the other two tape plugins. I wouldn't mix without them. Everything just sounds better.

Must Own This Plugin!
I shied away from this plugin in the beginning because of the price tag. Once you use it, you'll not want to mix without it. It's that good. I use it on my busses. All of their tape plugins are fantastic. I use the Ampex on the master buss, and I'll use Oxide on individual tracks.

My go-to mix bus plugin
The Ampex ends up on most of my mix busses as a last insert and gives that finishing touch to a mix. It glues the track together and smooths out the top end for that analog sound. I'm also very pleased with the tape delay effects that it can produce and along with the wow and flutter settings, I've been able to recreate that 60s tape flange effect I was looking for.

The sound of analog tape
Really helps to recreate the sound of analog tape when slapped on many different channels of a mix. It gives a nice tape saturation just by engaging the plugin and allows for creative effects when cranked to more extreme settings. Subtle but smooths out the top end and adds weight to bottom end.

NICE!!
I demoed the studer twice just to make sure this product was adding something to my mix, and not just a waste of money. I must say after playing with it for a few days its pretty cool. I think its a nice addition to my plugin family. Thanks UA

Copious Amounts of Fatness
I always marvel at how people describe treatments that effect sound, so I'll give a crack at it for the first time here. The sound is fat, and delicious! its warm and rich, its amazingly good =] soooooo tasty... How'd I do? Pretty good, yeah? I thought so, but yeah this plugin is that good. Love it! I never leave reviews, but this thing is so good I couldn't resist! Do not hesitate to purchase this one and enjoy! Cheers
