Love Unison
These Tube Preamps sound amazing in Unison. They take my guitar recordings to another level. They are also fantastic in a mix for adding some tube love to a dull and boring track.
While I thought I would love the 610B the most there is something about the 610A that I keep going back to. The 610A is not as adjustable as the 610B but what it does naturally is just right.

These are so good.
I have two hardware 1176's. I don't even bother using them when I mix now (only when tracking) because these plugins are so good that I can't be bothered to patch in the hardware. They sound amazing.

Best sounding Pultec plugin
After spending a year with this one I have to say that it is one of UAs best creations to date. Such a sweet, fat, smooth sounding EQ that works on pretty much anything, from the kick drum to the master bus.
It is quite different sounding from the legacy version which is much more forward and edgy sounding where this is much smoother and gentle. There is also an output gain knob which is a very useful addition.
I have not found much use for the HP/LP filter however, always ended up using another one. But the other two plugins are pure gold. I wish they would make a Pultec Pro with those two combined, like with the legacy version. That is probably my only wish. Otherwise it is perfect.

Truly remarkable
Well, I've never had the pleasure of using a real Neve but this is quite something. The sound just gains weight right up to +20dB and just sounds sooooo analog even if you really clip it. And the unison mode is something else during tracking.
I can't get over how good this sounds. Nothing in the native world comes within a mile.

Came for the 'lo-end' trick, stayed for the MEQ-5's lo-mid boosts
I love that there is the Legacy version for quick work and high instance counts. But when the situation calls, this tool is just a work of art. Only gripe is I wish there was a module combining all 3 units! Best Pultec emu I've ever used though. Great job UA!

My favorite UAD Compressors, hands down. Nothing compares to that all-buttons-in mayhem that only these plugs can bring.

Must have compressor
I have never used the hardware version of these plugins but I have tried the Waves version and these win by comparison. I use them on vocals every time for a huge sound.

Fantastic
Having never used the hardware, I did wonder why this was such a classic compressor. All other 1176 emulations had left me slightly disappointed. I have used UAD's Classic Limiter Collection for about a month now and I have to say it sounds fantastic. It gives you that extra something. It sounds great on everything and seems to give a presence and clarity even when I'm not compressing. Very happy.

GUITAR LINE RECORDING BETTER
During possessing, it's vacuum tube-like preamplifier plug I tend to use very much most- in.
It can be operated easily, and it's good sound. It became very convenient for linear recording and easy. You can't leave any more. It's often used for an electric guitar, but an existence sense is some wonderful sound.

I own a couple Fairchild emulations and this is the richest sounding of the lot. It's a great plugin!!

This is really a nice pre amp and EQ for free with my apollo twin. My only regret is that I didnt get one of these units sooner!!!

Just Commit (to Disk) Already
In the past I've typically run vox through my Great River (etc.) and then either rent an LA-2A (hardware) or even through my DBX (hardware). Bought these right away and have no qualms whatsoever tracking through them in the UA console back into ProTools. No more second guessing and saving all the compression for mixing. They're that good. I'm not really compelled anymore to bother renting the hardware, this is as close as you're going to get. Bravo.

Character
Wow this plugin just adds so much character and warmth to my mixes. I have never experienced a real Fairchild so I cannot confirm the realism but trust me it sounds fantastic. Regardless of whether it is realistic or not it is a great sounding compressor.

Love these Preamps
I used to think my guitar recordings sounded great but when I got the Apollo and placed the UA610 in Unison, now I know what a really great sounding recorded guitar really is.

This is the perfect compressor for the kick and snare or even drum bus. It adds warmth, punch and sweetness!

Desert Island Compressor
These compressors are some of the best things UAD has ever made. they have changed the way I mix forever! the AE with slo attack is phenomenal for snare drum... the Rev A is amazing on vocals, electric keyboards, anything to which I want to add presence and true grit. The LN sounds awesome on drums, guitars, everything really.
