Works well
I like having the ability to get a bit of color in my sound and this definitely gives me it. It may not act exactly like the preamp, but it sure does give you a nice sound.

I am lazy
I find alot of the time now especialy with limiters and compressors I want to open a unit and quickly find a preset that does the job. Maybe a little bit of a tweak here and there but ill prob come back and get picky later on.The AE was the one i have used the most ( ive only just bought them ) and click , click ,click i've found the setting I want .
I hope i'm not shocking anyone when I say that I also don't want a list of presets that scroll off the screen.
Just what the 1176s have got is good - few settings to get you started or to get you looking in a particular direction.

Just Amazing - the LA-2A
The most often used compressor in my setting - just a brilliant sound! After years of using it, it still has the "WOW" effect.
The crazy thing is: These emulations sound better than the original analog LA-2A in the studio i am working at the moment...

Fantastic Channels
I really enjoy using these plug-ins, In some cases the difference in plug in variations are not so pronounced, yet these two channels surprised me by how contrasting their characters are. The vintage model has a very thick vintage sound when driven while the 610-B has a more transparent sound though it does add some color. I use these a lot on my drums.

ASTOUNDING
This collection is a serious upgrade to their initial Pultec release. Having worked with the physical hardware units I was a bit disappointed by the Pultec-Pro and was hoping for a better emulation...luckily this refined version came out. I can say without a doubt this is the best Pultec emulation I've heard to date. You can push this EQ extremely hard and get that lovely, familiar hardware EQP-1A sound. Great job UA!

A must-have
The Fairchild limiter collection is a definite must-have. Of all the compressors I've acquired the 660 does something magical to a vocal that I've never been able to achieve before and the 670 also has its' own magic on stereo content.
Thanks Universal Audio for another winner!

Adds immediate weight and dimension
The 610 collection is always a great starting place for me. I can add immediate weight and dimension right from the start on my sampled drums, keyboards and live bass. I love that it is simple and straight to the point. The eq's on both plugins never overpower your sound, rather they enhance the character of the original. You want warmth, go with the 610A; you want big clean power, go with the 610B. I don't know just how "authentic" the 610A is to the original because I never had the pleasure to record through one; but I do know that the good people at Universal Audio are doing a damn good job making high quality plugins that keep me thirsty for more!

Classic and still the best!
I've been using this collection for a year or so now and I never tire or using it. It adds that classic LA-2A sound to pretty much anything you throw at it, whether you're looking at adding some dirt to a drum track at seriously high settings or just nicely leveling a vocal track, this can do it all from mild to wild. Absolutely in love with this plugin, it finds a way into every one of my mixes in some shape or form. You've got 3 to choose from although I do find myself always using the Silver, I dunno, it just does it for me! Buy it!

This bundle has turned out to be very versatile for keeping my master bus even without distorting the dynamics or musical characteristics.

Warm and Cuddly software!
I recently made a load of acoustic guitar recordings that needed warming up a little - this plugin is the key to that high end sound! The Unison Technology is superb and really makes vocal/guitar more pleasing on the way into my Apollo. Easy to use, sounds great, good price. Very Happy.

Fantastic
i had longtime thought that i have several plug in which could give me something close of Fairchild, i was wrong ! Actually not so much but this collection really make simple mixing process toward others you can find in the market. I can only highlight the warm you can add on guitars or vocals ... simply incredible ! So yes now i know that is a "must have"

Like the genuine hardware
I only understood how good the 1176 Classic Limiter Plugin works when I first used an original 1176 compressor. I had the honor to a 1176 Anniversary Edition and when I compared to its plug-in version, my face almost fell. I bought the collection at once and since then I use them gladly in my mixes.
