Broke After 1 Year

Purchased on 12 April 2020 as of 11 Nov 2021 no longer work. Worked fine yesterday. Turned on the computer today and all LED go red. No change made to computer. No identifiable variable(s) changed from one day ago. All Online help articles followed step by step. Old songs that used UAD plugins must now be abandoned. I feel disappointed and scammed.

Failed two months after warranty expired..

UAD is not helping me because I'm over warranty so I'm stocked with 3369USD worth of plugins but no hardware to run them from.

Octo PCIe

This new card is a replacement for another also new card that abruptly failed after three weeks use. Suddenly went dead and the computer simply reported that there was 'no PCIe' in that slot & presented same report no matter what slot was placed in. Needless to say this cause significant problems for clients whose projects were mid-mix and where UAD plugs could no longer be loaded. The card was eventually replaced under warranty and this one has been fine so far, but has not reached one month of use just yet. Shall now be keeping my eye on this and hopefully it survives to the one year warranty date.

Quad & octo pci issues with modern pc's

My UAD2 PCI quad is running for years, time to add an OCTO to increase my UAD plugin usage. Take to PCI, it faster they said. The old QUAD had pci issues and required a custom build PC for usage for newer I9 CPUs. I used the pc and OCTO card for 6 months before the octo failed (all led red), my replacement card showed the same issues within 1 week. Due to large luna support requests, I'm now one month out of business. I wished they advise me the USB edition instead of this unreliable PCI problem. With 72 plugins is not easy to rebuild project with a native alternative. I hope to move to UAD USB asap.

Unusable due to errors

I purchased this card two weeks ago and it has been unstable since the first install. I've followed the instructions on the website and from the UA techs and nothing is working properly. I would like to keep the card but it's not doing me any good since it won't go more than 2 minutes without an error or crashing.

For PC: don't buy

Even the plug-ins are goods, the management of the Cards for Windows 10 are not "professional". The obligation to RE-Install ALL the plugs with a simple driver is not "pro". The detection of the cards in the PCI (1.1 or 16) are not reliable. If you want to loos much time to de-install / re-install each morning ... go with UAD-2. I'm very angry about the incapacity of UA to find a REAL solution.

Nightmare!

I am left alone..... spend so much money and ur support is close to nothing, I didn’t have a chance yet to test my gear ( Apollo twin USB + Octo card),thanks to your bad support, returning my gear this week, feel left alone

Amazing sounding plugins, weak overpriced hardware

I spent way way too much money on this and quite frankly I feel it was unjustified because honestly every single time I use it, I get errors or run out of DSP. I thought to myself before buying, I better get an OCTO but quite frankly you can only run about 10 instances of RS88 with that. About 9/10 times when I load a session that I saved using these plugins it won't open or it will disable all the UAD plugins and give me an error -38 code. I'm extremely unhappy with it. I want my money back or something.... I'd give this less than 1 star if I could.

UAD Card platform

Some cool sounding plugins for sure. Works absolutely TERRIBLE in pro tools. The worst latency ever, and worst functionality. For that much money I feel like it should run better.

unfortunately nothing new as I have traded in from a uad 1 (an undesired purchase) and also waited more than one month after purchase with no communication from the retailer...

Misinformed sales people and poor customer support made the upgrade to UAD2 platform from a UAD1 card a horrific experience. Lost over a thousand dollars of registered plug-ins on original card and got "sorry about that" as a peace offering. The product is "okay" not any better than others available, but don't expect any help from the customer service department. They will not go the extra mile to help a customer no matter how much you have invested in their products. Unless of course you're somebody famous. Guess where that left me. Save your money, stick with packages less costly and more customer friendly. I had to rate this a 1 star as it wouldn't let me leave it blank, which is what it deserved.
