so far so good
using it for light masters, so far so good!

A classic limiter with lots of tonal options
This is one of the first limiters that really was able to get limiting to a new level back in the day.
I bought it for my apollo because I really wanted something I can shape the limiting of but in a more transparent way. I use the native version but I really like this on my live streams I do for clients so It was a no brainer.

love the OxLim
versatile and sounds great, I find it pretty transparent at mild limiting amounts if the enhance stuff is left off. use it on about 90% of my masters

Top notch
If your looking for that extra something on a master this is a great piece to get you where you want to go. Smack it and crank it / to subtle enhancements it’s my new go to for finalizing on my master buss. I finally found something replacing a go to from the other guys I’ve used for many years. You will have to learn to listen again as this has simple controls but can really alter your sound. Close your eyes, and listen when you’re tweaking!

Sonnox Limiter
Sonnox Oxford Limiter is absolute fantastic real limiter for coloring the sound!..It is oposit of Fabfilter Pro L2 wich I also own.Fabfilter isn’t bad,but it is more for chirurgical and natural sounding material..Sonnox is more harder for another music styles and that’s great!;)..that is why I bought him!,really great limiter plugin, one of the best!;)

SONNOX OXFORD LIMITER V2
I own several Sonnox pieces of software.
This is the first one for my UAD-2 interface.
It is a very true version of the Sonnox Limiter V2 beast, and it adds this beautiful restrained power to a mix. No squish - the music is all there!
My primary business is mastering, and having this one running with zero impact on my system is a dream come true.
I can hardly wait for V3

Musical sound
Oxford Limiter sounds best when it's limiting up to 6-8dB's worth of peaks. Push it much further and it begins to distort. If you're looking for a surgical peak limiter to drop across your 2.0 for meeting broadcast requirements, iZotope Maximiser is probably a better route, with its selectable algorithms and overall greater sonic transparency. But the Oxford is more musical and warm, and has its own character. I've found it very useful as a pre-limiter for excessively peaky signals going in to a compressor, such as hand claps and small percussion. Oxford Limiter combined with the UA API 2500 compressor is pure magic.

fire and forget
always nice smooth and shiny. does not kill drums' dynamics, but always kills some roughness. In my opinion a bit sweet even with enhance slider @ 0. Good for radio hits, but independent artists would find it difficult to achieve some moods. In some cases Precision Limiter from UA or other limiter may be more suitable. I would give 4,5, but no 5.
