Sounds great but so does the pro legacy
It sounds great but I honestly can't tell the difference between this and the pultec pro legacy that comes on the analog classics bundle for free.
I can only notice a slight difference on the bass trick in EQP-1A in both but honestly I think I should've just taken another plugin that doesn't come in the stock for free.

Nice but no All-in-one? Pro plugin
Nice but no All-in-one Pro plugin like previously?
Also - I don't seem to have a new MEQ? Maybe the installer fucked up but I only seem to have the legacy MEQ.

Great Sounding Equalizer BUT....
For me (EQP-1A) there are many frequencies missing, It could be very flexible EQ for sound design.
Specifically low frequencies 20, 30, 60, 100 isn't really much. It could be expanded in digital domain especially...would be nice if UAD makes an update and add some more flexibility. There could be more frequency ranges to choose from what would make it very attractive product ;)
Other then that...Sounds great on anything!
Many thx :)

Big knobs & bigger sound!
This sounds phenomenal! As an engineer who tries to use as little eq as possible in my projects, it's important to know that the ones I use give me great results without a ton of trial & error. So far, I'm really impressed with this... On bass, guitars, and kick drum.

EQP-1A - Yeah
Helpful
Especially EQP-1A
Excellent sound, fullness and softness in the low
Kick and Master Bus first, then snare and tom
Yeah!

It worth, but...
This update is better sounding than the legacy Pultec, so I think it worth, although is subtle on extreme bands and settings.
I use this for the voice or the main instrument, then the legacy version for the rest, to spare DSP power.
My big disappointment is that the price for an update (because, basically, this is!) is too expensive for the legacy owners.
So I had to wait for the best combination of promotional voucher and discount period.
Very bad policy from UAD, IMO, for an average of expensive plugins and updates too...

Great eqs but..
agreed, great EQs but the image lead me to believe the plugin came as a rack, like the old version??

Killer EQ
Three great filters, but it should exist as a rack as well, likte the picture.

Ordinary analog EQ
This plugin wasn't shock me at first time...neither at second. It has very own subtle sound, useful on guitars, vocal ,something natural...it adds "analogness" as well. But it isn't groundbreaking EQ. It is completely useless in dance productions,in my opinion.
P.S. HLF thing is outstanding. I use it all the time, this is only reason i purchased this plugin.

Not much difference, to my ear...
I use the Pultec Pro Legacy plugin all the time- on vocals, acoustic guitar, piano...I did an A/B between the old and new Pultec plugins on these same sources, and I must admit, I hear only a very slight difference (new version seems to maintain the low mid character of the source material, old version seems to dip the low mids a little, giving it a slight perceivably brighter sound). Overall I find them so close that I'd rather continue using the Pultec Legacy and spend my money on a different plugin. They sound great, don't get me wrong, but for now I'm good with the Legacy Pultec.

It's improved alright
I own the old Pultec and was my primary character eq.I bought the new one after using 2 $50 coupons,so the price was right for me,otherwise i wouldn't upgrade.I see some improvement, more detail, more depth.

A-mazing sound, crashes sessions
These sound absolutely incredible, but crash my sessions like crazy. So, at the moment unusable, but that fix will be a sunny day

Not the trump I was hoping for...
The Pultec Pro (classic) has been the primary EQ in my mastering chain for several years. I just completed an A/B test. I like the smoothness and warmth of the new set (sans lo/hi-cut). But by comparison the new EQs jointly lack the punch of the original. In fact, I'm going to be sticking with the original for my mastering work. It's just not worth sacrificing the midrange punch I get through the original.
I anticipated this would be a no brainer upgrade for me like the 1176 and LA-2 compressors were, but it's simply not. I pray to my higher power that UA NEVER discontinues the older versions. Ultimately, it's probably good to have both versions, but for now, I'll spend my dough on something else.
